If you're wondering what a Conn 2 is, the UMI guy who was involved with the Conn 52/56J project told me a couple of years ago at the NYC Brass Conference that the Conn 2 was essentially the same cup as the Conn Helleberg 7B (the smaller Conn Helleberg), but with a large cushion rim and the funnel 'modern' outside shape both Conn and King introduced for most of their mouthpieces in the 1930s (but King never used the shape for tuba mouthpieces).

I have always used Conn 2's on 20K and related Conn sousaphones with good success. [I use a Schilke Helleberg II for both BBb and F tubas -- gives an amazing lower register on my Yamaha YFB 621]

The biggest contrast with the Dillon Sheridans will be rim diameter, the Sheridan is much bigger. I tried them a little at Dillon and found the rim size too big for me. Very well made, good stuff.
