i have owned a 5 valve 191 since last October and the bore is .840 and the 5 valve is much better than the 4 valve. It's more solid in sound and in all registers and projects much better and has a fuller darker sound.
the 5th on a rotor has to be put above the first to be right. Everyone that plays my tuba loves it. i got the first 5 valve 191 ever made and it kicks ass and i tried the variable receiver on it and it didnt work and took it off and its just a plain one with nothing done to it and i never will do anymore to it again.
