I don't have any more problems that way than on a regular mouthpiece, and I can't think of a reason why any mouthpiece would necessarily give that problem. I t may be the the mouthpiece/horn combination is causing some sort of sensation that is somehow messing up the air support. While I think the tone on a Monette mouthpiece is superior to that of a conventional mouthpiece, they will suffer proportionally more if the air support is not correct.
