Any suggestions out there for really good a cappella works for tuba?
It doesn't have to be music specifically written for the tuba, but it should be fairly accessible to the listener, and sound good on the tuba. I recall hearing Harvey Phillips playing a Bach solo flute work on a recital, which worked very well, but I don't remember the name of the piece.
The Bach cello suites are great, but tend to be a bit rangy for the person in question, so the difficulty level should be taken into account.
