If you need further motivation, remember that most of the other players you'll be competing against at the next audition will practice everyday and each day you skip gives them a bigger advantage over you.
You want to stop feeling guilty? Well, will it be okay with you to not be a tuba player (assuming that is the career you're pursuing) because you didn't do everything you could to land that all too elusive job?
