The Bach 1 1/2G and 1G bought 20 and 15 years ago had narrow rims rounding very much towards inner as well as outer edges. In fact so much that there are hadly any edges at all. The Schilke 60 bought 5 years ago had almost the same features. The shifts of models was motivated solely by the increasing cup volume obtained.

The rims never satysfied me. I liked the DW rims much more, but bassbonewise the DW series has sort of painted it self into a corner. The largest one, 0AL, is not really large.

So when I found the YEOmaha 2 years ago,it was sort of a revelation. To me it is the ultimate DW basbone mpc. Just not made by DW.

Thought I had settled forever on this point. However:

What are "the Joe M. NORMAL WIDTH rim bass tbn. mouthpieces"?
