The best advice I can give you, as a high school player who went through a similar situation myself, is to keep those cheeks in!!! When I first started tuba, I kinda slipped through the cracks and had a major problem with it, and I recently have been working like crazy to get 'em in. Other than that, take a lesson book, go step by step through it, start from the beginning and don't move on until you get each part right. Good luck!!!!
