Perhaps you need to think about what music you will be playing most often. In a band that plays a lot of marches you will be in the flat keys most of the time, and a solid low Bb is very important. If you are going into the sharp keys a lot then you will find the F fingerings a bit less awkward. Some years ago I practiced the "Bydlo" solo on a five-valve F tuba just because I had one and I liked the piece. It was hard work, and I still prefer to hear it done on euphonium. Then I went to a concert by an excellent Russian orchestra that was touring the USA. The tubist was using a BBb instrument that strongly resembled a King. When it was time for the Bydlo solo he picked up a three-valve top-action Eb tuba like the one that I started on at the age of 10 and played it beautifully. What an eye-opener that was!
