I know what you mean, but when you come home from your real job after 8pm and can't really practice until after 9 or 10, you make sacrifices for family harmony. I guess my next wife will have to be a tuba player, or at least low brass player.
Seriously, I am building my soundproof room in the basement with double walls and insulation between, but it ain't cheap.
