As usual, you are right on the money ... I believe that
is same photo I have of Mr. Bell with the Sousa Band.
In response to TM ... the fact that it's a "raincatcher"
clearly defines it as a Sousaphone and not a helicon.

I have the original Golden Crest album titled
BILL BELL AND HIS TUBA and the cover picture is
with the big Martin. This is a color photo and the
album's reissue showed him with the King (I think that
one was black and white).
Anyway, it sure would be good to get this album
released on CD. The CARNIVAL OF VENICE alone would make
it worth the trouble.
I wonder if Kinkos can make color copies of this
album cover (or if it would be legal).
