I've been looking for a small tuba for a long time now....3/4 size for a quintet that does not want a big horn sound. In addition, I'm really small and want a tuba that is as short as I can get it. I've got a MW F that is 39 inches tall, and it just hurts my neck to play it because it is bigger than I am!! Does anyone know how tall a 3/4 CC Yamaha is? How about a CC Weril, which seems to be both short and small bore, which might get the sound we are looking for? Any other suggestions?
