Here is an easy to way to find a leak: pull out the main slide and have an assistantplug the tubing that exits the fourth valve with their hand. Push down the first valve and blow through the mouthpiece. If there is a leak, you will hear a sizzling sound. Have your assistant listen for the location of the noise or look for bubbles. Even in a new horn there will be some loss of compression, especially in a rotary horn, but you will be able to tell if the leak is abnormal.
