Im having trouble getting a powerful, full, sound this year. Some notes I can hit dead on with a huge full sound, like the low F, but others seem not to be there. The lower notes from Ab to Bb dont comeout well. I mean i can play them but I can seem to get a really solid vibration out of them. I first thought that it was the crack in the lead pipe, but its not because a week ago i was hitting all the note really well. Plus i tried my concert tuba and the problem was still there, not as bad though.
I just moved to the bigger tubas this year and im trying to get the power out of it, when you can really feel the bell viberating, like i did with the small ones. I know it's possible because i did it a week ago on the big tuba.
So anyway what can i do too get a big sound again? What can I do to get those notes to feel and sound rock solid?
