I have an old King BBb that I believe could have been built before 1900. It has a superb
tone and intonation and has a better low end than my Mirafone s1864u. I can do organlike
pedal tones with no problem. I bought this horn from a good friend 30 years ago and have
had the valves replated and a few minor repairs in the interim. As far as I am concerned
this is the best horn I have ever played. I am also in the process of buying a King Eb
from around 1920. Will let you know how that one pans out.
