Dunno about green grease--my slides get green enough without help! When I visited Phil's shop in San Jose back in the 80's, I recall he used to get his grease in large drums, then have it repackaged. Stupid me forgot to note what was printed on the drums.

I've tried a bunch of stuff as slide lube, including making my own concoctions. I've tried some of the high-tech chain lubes like Kry-Tech and synthetics like Syl-Glide.

I keep coming back to STP, though. A drop will lube a slide nearly forever and the stuff doesn't burn if you have to take a horn apart. It inhibits corrosion and it's really cheap--if Phil's grease (which I use on my bikes) will last a life time, a quart of STP will last generations...
