I once heard HJ live with Jack DeJohnette’s 2nd Edition band. JDJ was strong as long as he stayed with his drums and kept his fingers off the keyboards. But one experience never to be forgotten was the collaboration between HJ and the (double) string bassist Rufus Reid.
Some instrument you have got! Bell profile and the placement of the rotaries point towards an age almost so old, that this instrument must have been among the first things the Japanese found, when they first entered Japan some ice ages ago.
