I tried one out about a year ago. I only played it for about a half hour, but it is a nice playing horn. It is a large, heavy horn, with a large sound. I didn't think that it played any better than the other high end BBb horns available, such as the Miraphone 191, VMI 3301, or M-W 25. If you are looking for a good quality, piston valve BBb, I think that the Willson isn't worth the extra money vs. the VMI 3301 or (new) King 2341. Interestingly I like the 4 valve VMI 3301 better than the 5 valve 3302, but I would say the the Willson plays similarly to the 3302 that I played.
