I was just thinking, why doesn't someone build a piston tuba with a rotary-style paddle system to activate the pistons. The paddles could be bent, as paddles can, to fit the individual hand, and it could be designed such that it would be impossible to activate the valve with off-axis force. BTW, it seems to me that pulling the valve against the spring would work better than pushing against it.
Thoughts anyone?
