I have a great sounding Mirafone looking for a new home. This
one is a vintage 63'186 CC 4-rotary valve in pretty darn good
shape. It's been partially overhauled (de-dented, fitted with new
linkage and cleaned up), and is in raw brass. Has very good intonation
and a quality of sound that you don't get from the newer horns - a
solid, dark core with a nice "edge". A kind of "up-front" tone with a
nice mellowness. Would be good for a deserving player on a budget.
Includes well-padded knapsack style cloth gig-bag, $2500.
