BTW, when I was in college, a fellow tubist and I played a set of 12 duets by Vaclav Nellybel (sp?). To make them more interesting one of us would remove, oh, say the second valve slide for a particular movement. We would alternate different slides throughout the set of duets. We performed them this way in Semester Recital to thunderous approval!
So always remember: be creative when playing duets… your friends may thank you.
