I don't have the budget to collect as many as I would like, but there is something about antique brass that fascinates me. So, I have about 40 instruments in my home.
Is this what tuba playing is all about? Of course not! It is and should always be about the music. Our primary quest should always be to improve our sound and to understand the music to impart our own special touch to it. That doesn't preclude talking about equipment, but the equipment should never take precedence over the music.
