You can
- Lap the pistons in with Lava soap suds...soap bubbles carrying very very fine particles of pumice. Be sure to rinse very very very thoroughly.
- Check your bumper felts to make sure they are not releasing tiny strands of wool between your pistons and casings (as mine were prior to my switch to "high-tech" bumpers).
- Avoid carrying your instrument by any of the valve section parts and carry it only by the instrument body.

Others and I can only guess at your problem. None of my suggestions will bring harm to your instrument, including the lapping, if done carefully.
