I have recently aquired a King Sousaphone,serial number 135565. It has an orangish color to it (the laquer is in good shape). It has a 24" bell, and about a 6 1/2" bell collar. I am curious as to what year the horn was made, and what model it is.
I have checked the UMI website, and the S/N list puts this horn in the 30's, but I have trouble believing that it is that old, it is in too good a shape. Does that list apply to sousaphones too?
Finally, I am in need of a leadpipe for this horn.....anybody have an extra for sale?
