But I use a Tuba Rest. And even with the Monsterweights, the Miraphone is lighter than the York Master. No thigh numbness with either one.
But don't misunderstand. I didn't say the Monsterweights made the sound weightier and deeper, I said it made the sound more focused with more core. I think what makes the York Master sound weighter and deeper is the shorter leadpipe, the faster taper and the larger bell and bottom bow. I don't know which contributes what, though.
