Also, be REALLY sure there isn't something down in there. People seem to think it is no-end funny to stick shoes, lunch sacks, jock-straps, all KINDS of stupid stuff into a tuba. The higher notes are a bit less sensitive to that sort of thing, so it's possible that a good tuba-enema will fix you right up.
