Last time I checked, you'll need both of those for your revered drum corps.
I don't see how playing a contra versus sousaphone, or friggin' Vito clarinet for that matter, made a difference.
The medium don't determine quality. Musical product does. Not all drum corps are good. Not all marching bands are bad. No soap box here; my apologies if it sounds like flames or anything here.
