I would think the "monster jumps" are apart of the piece and nothing the performer is doing? Anyway, in a nutshell (and some will probably disagree) the Bobo recording of Cappricio is a bit more bombastic and he "goes for it" more (I hesitate to use more exciting) and Perantoni plays a bit more on the conservative side and even-sounding. Just my opinion.
