This horn is non-compensating I believe, although it isn't here in front of me. Pardon my ignorance, but I don't think I have ever seen a compensating tuba. All I know about them is what they do, and that not very many people make them. I would say with relative certainty that it is non-compensating. It also is a really HEAVY horn! I can't imagine lugging that thing around everyday, but if I can find a bell it might be a good horn to tinker with....
