This is a very good idea, mainly because this is REAL music, that is very satisfying to play.

As the music is written for a string instrument, the breathing and phrasing on a wind instrument needs careful planning to serve the music as well as the survival of the player. I have worked with these suites from an edition for cello, as I did not want a predigested version for trombone.

The low C is a rather prominent note in these pieces. On bassbone that is no problem, but on euph this note will often be rather sharp. Even on the best compensating euphs, if they are not equipped with some sort of trigger on either valve slides or main tuning slide.
