Although there's no love lost between my Sooner soul and the State of Texas, there are few other states that have as great a band tradition as Texas. It's almost as much of a religion there as football. Better pay than anywhere else in the country, too. $32K in Texas is equivalent to $50K-$60K in other locations due to the relatively low cost of living.
