I can heartily agree with the above message about JVC XRCD's. They are utterly unbelievable. I bought all of the classical issues after being blown away by the Reiner/Chicago New World Symphony. Compared to the standard "RCA Red Seal" CD's, they have significant improvement in reproducing the "natural" sound of the instruments (especially strings and woodwinds) without the harsh "glare" that plagues regular CD's.

I have a complete collection (in mint condition) of RCA Red Seal LP's from the late 50's and early 60's and these JVC XRCD's blow them away in every respect.

I can recommend "Red Trumpet" (www.redtrumpet.com) as the cheapest dealer for these. They have free shipping specials etc.
