I might have an opportunity to buy this horn at a price within my budget, the owner says he has had quite a bit of valve work done on it along with cosmetic work removing dents.
It is a "Sprinz und Schmol" 1930's concert band tuba.
He also says it is a "BBb Flat - 4 valve - Valve rotors have been nickle plated and lapped - Valve linkage has been completely replaced within the last five years - plays easily and in tune" He also "Completely replaced the keys and linkage in order to speed up the action and reduce the noise." He had a "very respected company in Toronto" do the work.
It is within acceptable driving distance so I could go pick it up, so shipping isn't an issue.
Anyone have any thoughts or know anything about this Tuba?
