Heh.... Back in college, whenever we got a Tom Kubis chart in jazz band, we would go, "Cool!" Each one was a kick to play, even if we happened to take one or two ridiculously fast ("The Buzz" comes to mind).
Of course, being in the trombones, I didn't have to play those all-too-familiar melodies very often -- so, that might have skewed my view...
