About a month or so ago, someone queried about who played tuba on the TV show, The Twilight Zone. I don't think I have the answer to that, but maybe a partial answer.
Today, I ran into a former employer, Danny Davis - of Nashville Brass fame - who in another life was a studio trumpeter/producer in NY(also a veteran of the BI Band days). I remembered something he had said years ago when we worked together about doing some T. Zone dates. He clarified that in saying it was a tribute album to the TV show and he thought it was Harvey that played tuba on that project, as well as many other things that he was involved in.
Also, the Zone was filmed in the West coast and unless the tracks were done in NY, a Hollywood area player was more than likely the one performing the duties. Maybe Jim Self is the man who can answer that question. If it was a NY export job - tho unlikely - I would guess it was probably Harvey.
