Does anyone have any good recommendations for a highschool tuba repotoire? I'm a really good tuba player for my age. I can reach a high C in the 4th treble space. My technique is fairly good. I'm looking to build a full rep. from 7-10 pieces. Having some challenging pieces in there.
I've looked at the V.Williams Concerto, but I don't own it. Some pieces I'm working on right now are Capuzzi-Andante and Rondo, and Bach/Bell-Air and Bouree. I'm planning to play those at my next competition(Bands of America Honor Band). I also own Persichetti's 22nd for unacc. tuba. But I haven't been concentrating on it that much, since I'm actually trying to work something up soon. But I have looked at it and played some of it. It's pretty difficult for those who don't know...even for the really good players. Well, that's a little bit of what I'm working on. If anyone has any suggestions for songs to play, just email me or post(email preffered). Thanks.

A tuba playa,
Andy
