A "fast eddie" (named for "Fast Eddie" Strege) is nothing more than a polished steel roller mounted on ball bearings on a 5/8" shaft. Usually held in a vise and the instrument worked against it, sometimes with a backing iron or dolly. While the original "Fast Eddie" was made by Strege-Wuttke Supply (now owned by Badger State), there are several clones of the design.
