I have a 'fake' dent eraser that I have used for quite while. I think my magnet is probably just as powerful as the one in UMI's kit. It works well on school-quality horns except where the material is reinforced. It is of most use beginning at the point where you can't reach thru the bell and continues to where the tubing gets down to 1 1/2" diameter. I do my own repair/building work and treat things done is my spare time as a hobby. If time was money, I would only use the dent eraser on simple dents in modern horns. I concur that the best way to remove major dents is to take the horn apart.
