Thank you for the information. I did not know that Olds and Reynolds were manufactured by the same company.
I only played two Olds O-99 tubas and two Reynolds TB-10 tubas. With sample sizes such as this it is almost impossible to make an accurate judgement. I absolutly agree with you that instruments of the same model can vary a great deal.
