there was some literature on my former tuba teacher's studio wall that told of how a family rebuilt their instrument company(Miraphone) after WWII, and also mentioned how the family had been in the instrument making business for several centuries, and was in the second generation of brass makers when Miraphone was coined after WWII. I unfortunately don't remember anything more specific than that, but I'm sure Charlie or any other Miraphone rep on this list can fill in the blanks for me.
