The problems will be with instruments and with some players ears.

I once was asked to sub as 1st bone in a brass band, where the cornet section played with very tense embouchures leading them to be very high in pitch. The director "compromised" them down to 445, but I had had my trombone set up to 442 as the highest possible pitch (it had come from the factory with 440 as its top pitch).

This lead to a not very situation situation: sightreading foreign charts without being able to use ones 1st position and with all other positions noticeably up from the normal.

I also have tried, on baritone, to play a band concert together with an organ pitched in 435. Funny sounds, when my main tuning slide skated across the floor.

Standards are standards for very standard reasons.
