I play both a Willson F and a Willson CC.
They have many of the same characteristics....pitch tendencies, resistance, etc....
To dispel a misconception....the Meinl Weston 45 SLP and Willson 3200 are the exact same body design until you get into the valves. If you don't agree...put them next to each other. Willson tubas have an extraordinarily open wrap...so it seems huge, and it's much heavier....thicker grade brass.
The Willson 3200 will anything you want, but you cannot use 'little girl airstream'. If you don't bring the house with your breathing, the tuba just doesn't play for you. That's the drawback.....I am exhausted after a long practice or a good performance but I love the sound.
