Too true. Lets ask, though, what we as musicians can do. I just conducted a concert with my brass band at an assisted living facility. I've not had a more rapt and appreciative audience in a long time. Don't worry, I didn't bludgeon them with summertime musical tripe, we simply gave them something more than they are normally asked to like!!!
