9929 is the serial number. For some reason, Mirafone never put the model number anywhere on the horn until recently. The most common model is a 186 (although if your horn actually does have piston valves, then I have no idea what it is). There is no blue book that I'm aware of, and I would never attempt to venture a guess at its value. I'd suggest you contact Matt Walters at Dillon Music, or Dave Fedderly and/or Mike Russo at Baltimore Brass. These gentlemen have years of experience in tuba sales and also are honest, straight forward people. They might be able to give you a ballpark figure of what the horn would sell for if you give them a complete description of the horn and its condition.
