Hello. I'd like to ask all you Tubenetters out there for your thoughts on differences between a lacquered tuba and an unlacquered tuba? What makes someone decide to strip the lacquer off? I own a helicon that was originally purchased without any lacquer so I can not make a comparison but it plays remarkably and would never consider having it refinished in any way. What are your thoughts and opinions? Thanks!
