Congratulations on your decision to come to the beautiful Pacific Northwest!
The Seattle area is a wonderful place to live, and to be a tubist. There's quite a group of active players in the area, and the ones I've met have been wonderful people. I think you'll find there are a lot of playing opportunities.
As to lessons, in addition to those mentioned by Russ, there's also the UW Tuba Studio, as well as Carla Rutschman in the Bellingham area.
Feel free to e-mail me anytime. I'd be happy to introduce you to some folks and you're always welcome to a home cooked meal. You can play the big Holton 345 (once it's valve section comes back from Anderson Plating)and let me know what you think.
