Here's a link to some recordings Sean put up last month...of course he's a pro, but it is a good example of how we can sound.

My advice is at region and all-state hook up with some of the other players there, see where the other "best-of" guys are at, and make some contacts that could be helpful in the future. There's nothing more motivating than showing up and the guy sitting 3 chairs below you could play your socks off any day and you both know it.

What's crazy is that I can handle the Getchell/Hovey book very well, but Tyrell, Blazavich (sp???), and others just leave me slack-jawed. I'm majoring in the Sciences, heh heh.

Be certain about what you want to do. Plenty of schools could give you a scholarship for tuba, and you wouldn't even have to be a music major.
