I use a MW harness on my St Pete which is a mirror image of the Miraphone. I don't think the difference in rings would make any real difference. The connection on the bottom is done with a very unique hook that does not mar the horn. There is a large padded plastic pad between the horn and you body. The top strap connects to the tuba with a plastic snap. The harness actually comes with two top straps, but you use only one. The harness is designed so the top strap can be on either side, depending on the configuration of the individual tuba. The harness gives enough support that you can turn pages, dig through your folder, etc. without losing control of the horn. Don't know that I've ever seen a used one for sale, I have seen them on sale at Brasswind (I think) for about $75, but that was some time ago. Best horn holder I've ever used.
