Disclaimer number one! Joe knows more about more instruments than I will ever know about any one!
Donald E. Getzen used the Caravelle name on many different instruments, made by several different manufacturers. Most were "student" lines. For an all too brief period Willson made Caravelles. I own one of their baritones, and have also given one to my grandson. I was considering one of their tubas as well. They appear to be well made and a joy to play. Every one I have seen that was made by Willson had the Willson name and either Swiss or Suisse on the second valve casing. Absent those markings, I could not begin to guess who the manufacturer was, and would defer to Joe's more extensive knowledge.
