Chuck Dallenbach used a carbon fiber bell back when he was playing the Canadian Brass line of tuba (predecessor of the Getzen 50). He was using it when I saw them at Kutztown U. Of PA back about 6-8 years ago. I remember him saying they had to glue the "CB" logo onto the bell since you couldn't engrave it like on brass bells. His sound was as good as ever then.

also Andy Kochenouer of the Dixie Power Trio uses a carbon fiber bell on his horn. I do not know what brand it is. His sound is very fine also on the recording I have of them. I have not heard them live however. There was a story about him in the TUBA Journal a few issues back too I believe. Both guys do a fair share of standing while playing so I am sure it comes in handy.
