Remember the used market instrument at places of good reputation such as Baltimore Brass, Dillon's and others that come up with good reviews on this BBS (just ask on Tubenet, people will give you names of excellent dealers as close to you as possible). I would buy from a place that will work with you (quality, cost, your musical goals, etc...) and let you test the instrument. Remember also, the instrument that someone that plays everyday professionally may not be the best for you. It is my opinion that buying sight unseen is risky business (even if the instrument is a good make). There are many good instruments at good prices on which you can find your musical voice, especially if you are willing to wait. I wish the best for you and you new musical endevors!

good luck,
Dr. Mark E. Chachich
